The 3.0-litre six-cylinder engine puts out 261bhp and produces 580Nm of torque, so there’s plenty of power on offer (BMW claims a 0-62 figure of 5.4 seconds so this is certainly no slouch). The eight-speed gearbox is seamless in its delivery and allows smooth acceleration whatever the situation.

Conclusion: Love the car. Perfect combination of luxury, sportyness, treehugging/economy and family life stuff. Considering it’s not a SUV and has low emissions because of pluginhybrid, I actually find this car to not be that expensive. 72 000 dollars or 59 000 euro for my dream car with service for 5 years/100 000km.
